iHeartMedia has launched the NextUp Initiative, a new podcast boot camp designed to bring more up-and-coming and underrepresented creators into podcasting. Participants will receive a monthly cash stipend and learn about podcasting from one of the biggest podcast networks worldwide. The five-month program, which launches in August, will award two mentorships in each of iHeart’s three major podcasting hubs – Los Angeles, New York, and Atlanta.

Interns will work directly with iHeart podcast producers to develop a podcast centered around their distinct voice. The goal is for each participant to complete a minimum of three podcast episodes as well as a show pitch. Mentees will have the chance to pitch their shows with the possibility of having them picked up by the iHeartPodcast Network.

Want to learn how to create, edit, market, and launch your own podcast? Apply for the NextUp Initiative by July 9.
