Teachers spend an average of $459 on school supplies every year, for which they are not reimbursed, according to the Economic Policy Institute. This year, iHeartRadio, in partnership with DonorsChoose, is working to ease that financial burden.

The nationwide “iHeartRadio BackToSchool” campaign will connect donors to teachers in need of classroom supplies. Running on iHeartRadio CHR-mainstream stations through Friday, September 10, the campaign will drive listeners to DonorsChoose to fund local classroom projects in their communities.

Osmo, a hands-on learning company, will match listener donations up to $50,000, Radio Ink reports. SMI’s CEO and Founder Jeff Small has donated $5,000 to the cause.
