Average Quarter-Hour (AQH) audience, another key audience metric, experienced two consecutive months of gains. Average Quarter-Hour (AQH) Persons measures the number of people listening to a station for at least 5 minutes in a 15-minute period within a given daypart. Radio’s total AQH persons in PPM-measured markets increased to 7.6 million in April, up from 7.5 million in March and 7.0 million in both January and February, according to Inside Radio. April listening gains were spread across the day, with morning commutes (Mon-Fri, 6-10am) and weekends (Sat-Sun, 6a-12 midnight) hitting their highest audience levels since fall 2020.
