March is Women’s History Month, and Spotify has committed to amplifying women’s voices by launching EQUAL, an online hub designed to spotlight the work women are doing in audio. EQUAL, a one-stop destination for work by women artists and podcasters, showcases “music and stories from women of all experiences.”

EQUAL honors Women’s History Month with playlists curated by Spotify partners, including Girls Make Beats, GLAAD, Color of Change, and Women in Music. A few featured podcasts include: The Michelle Obama Podcast; If These Ovaries Could Talk (a podcast where two lesbians talk about non-traditional families); and SoundGirls Podcast (a podcast to help audio professionals learn how they can better support one another towards a more diversified industry).

The Spotify Original podcast Womn also released a series of episodes for International Women’s Day. Womn features inspiring women sharing and discussing work by the artists, creators, and cultural figures that have influenced them.

Spotify plans to continue highlighting women’s voices beyond Women’s History Month. In April, Spotify is launching the EQUAL music program, which is focused on fostering equity for women in 50 countries from around the world.
